This cavernous venue tucked underneath the Merritime hotel leaves your mouth agape at the architecture. It usually takes a few minutes to be seated, even if you have a reservation, but you can cozy up to the bar for one of their traditional martinis (a favorite is the pear one). If you don't have reservations they can usually seat you at the sushi bar, where a full menu is served. The staff is very knowledgable, the sashimi is extremely fresh (especially the tune and hamachi), and the shrimp tempura melts in your mouth. Since it's in the heart of the Meat Packing district, it's an easy walk to any number of hot clubs: a great place to start the night off!

Certainly one of Minneapolis oldest, hidden gems. You enter to the bar area where you see an expansive liquor wall that stretches to the season, supposedly the largest selection in the Midwest There is nothing you can't find here to please your drinking palate. Most of the staff has been there for years and will recognize you on the spot, should be try this place more than once. It feels a bit like an "old man's club" but very comfortable and friendly. There are 2 side rooms that can be reserved for large parties. Brunch here is served family style and is to die for. A favorite on the menu for many are the wings or, surprisingly, the liver. Their attention to detail and service can't be matched in the Twin Cities.
